Since founding SGA in 1981, co-owner John Doughty has focused on assisting his clients in completing their projects successfully in a timely manner. After obtaining a Masters in Computer Science and spending twelve years as an IT Analyst and Project Manger for financial services companies, he realized the need for professional staffing in the computer consulting industry.

Along with co-owner Dorothy Doughty, CFO, responsible for recruiting, payroll, and invoicing, John began to develop a professional team to meet the needs of a rapidly growing industry.

They built SGA on the premise of providing staffing to help plan, design, develop and test all phases of their clients’ projects. Since many of SGA’s clients create and maintain business applications that utilize a broad diversity of platforms, they made it the company’s mission to provide the highest level of talent for the broadest range of needs.

By constantly developing and improving SGA’s quality control processes, they have enabled the company to guarantee excellence in the consultants they deliver.
